Physician and Staff Bio's
Nitin Banwar, M.D.Dr. Banwar earned his medical degree from the Armed Forces Medical College in India and completed his internship in Calcutta, as well as a two-year residency in general surgery at the University of Rochester. Dr. Banwar did his orthopaedic residency at Hamot Medical Center and Shriner's Hospital, along with Duke University. Dr. Banwar is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. His special interest is in adult reconstructive surgery of the knee and hip.
Helen Wong, M.D.
Dr. Wong earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester where she was inducted into the AOA Honor Society. She completed a one year internship in general surgery as well as her orthopaedic residency at the University of Rochester. Dr. Wong is board certified in orthopaedic surgery. She is also certified by the ISCD to interpret bone densiometry and to treat osteoporosis. Dr.Wong is a member of the Rochester Orthopaedic Society, The New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the New York State and Ontario County Medical Societies.
